3Works but not a typical lap swimming suit  Dec 13, 2010 By Jerilea Hendrick "duncanje"
I've been using this suit for about 6 weeks now and it works alright. It is not a typical lap swimming suit. It does not provide very much back support--the straps in the back are not stitched together like a regular competitive swimming suit would be. I would say this is my first 'leisure' swimming suit that I've had in more than 20+ years; I usually only wear competitive swimming suits. So, this has a different fit to it if you're looking for a competitive style swimming suit. The suit fabric also has a texture to it. I'm assuming that it is designed to fit someone who is 9 months pregnant like all maternity swimming suits.

I purchased a large thinking it would be fine throughout the whole pregnancy and it will be, but I should have gone with a medium. My non-pregnancy size is a 34.

A better choice of purchase would have been from swimoutlet.com. I had originally ordered one from there but then decided to go with this one. If you do purchase from swimoutlet, keep in mind the maternity suits there do run a little long (I should have gone with a medium from them too). The swimming suit fabric from swimoutlet was a typical swimming suit fabric that you would think of when thinking of a competitive suit.

If this is the last or only pregnancy that you will be having, this suit will work but if you plan on swimming while pregnant with future pregnancies, go with the one from swimoutlet.

3Baggy Maternity Suit  Feb 26, 2008 By Shawna Whitfield "Zachy's mom"
Pros: Probably the most comfortable piece of maternity apparel that I own.
Cons: Has absolutely no shape to it (picture a box with 5 holes cut out). Also, while I swim I can feel the drag that comes from pulling a parachute full of water behind me....but I guess I'm getting an extra workout from it!

5Great Maternity Swimsuit  Jul 21, 2008 By D. Augustine
I purchased this swimsuit early in my pregnancy when I couldn't wear my normal suit any more. I looked all over for a swimsuit that I could still swim laps in. I wore this suit throughout my entire pregnancy and it worked great!

3Not like photo  Mar 15, 2008 By Lori
The suit is fine, but has unattractive ribbing that can't be seen in the photo. However, is well priced for maternity swimsuit. Also, comfortable and easy to get on, which matters a lot when you're big like a whale.

1Fell apart in 3 months, awful customer service  Jul 10, 2009 By Donezetti "Laura"
I bought this suit, paying a bit extra because it was made in the USA and presumably better quality than an imported suit. Despite following all the washing instructions and swimming only 2-3 times a week, in three months the suit began to disintegrate between the breasts and center of the rear end, becoming transluscent and unwearable. I had lots of trouble contacting Prego (I bought it through Tummy Style who did nothing to help me) but once I did, the rep was extremely unhelpful, implying that it was how I cared for the suit. I even mailed it to her to show her the damage (on my own dime) and got no response. Once I followed up, she still refused to even give me a replacement suit and/or prorate the three months of use I got and refund the difference. Nothing: No suit, no refund. In short, not good business and not a good quality suit! My old navy chinese made suit lasted the remainder of my pregnancy with no problems!
